


The Church of Scotland has launched a new online donations system to allow anyone wishing to donate to an individual church or more generally to the Church of Scotland.
It might be helpful to print off this page to follow the instructions.
If you wish to make a donation either to the national funds of the Church of Scotland or to an individual congregation please visit this page, https://www.churchofscotland.org.uk/donate and go to Step 1.
Step 1 Decide which type of donation you wish to make.
If you wish to donate to the Church of Scotland general fund then
click on the "Donate to our general fund" button and go to Step 2.
If you wish to donate to a specific congregation then click on the
"Donate to a congregation" button and a box will appear for you to enter
the name of the church. Enter the name of the church you wish to donate
to and a dropdown will appear with a list of churches - click on the
name of your church. Now go to Step 2.
Step 2 Gift Aid
If you are a UK tax payer and wish to increase your offering by using
Gift Aid, please ensure that the green button is on against "Yes, I am a
UK tax payer ...", enter your details and move to Step 3.
If you are not a UK tax payer or do not wish to use Gift Aid then ensure
that the green button is on against "No, I am not a UK tax payer ...".
and go to Step 3.
Step 3 PayPal
Click the red Donate button.
Although you have been directed to a PayPal webpage you do not need to
have a PayPal account. This is how the Church of Scotland will collect
your donation.
Please enter the amount you wish to donate.
If you click on the "Donate" button you will be asked to enter your
PayPal account details.
If you click on the "Donate with a card" you will be asked to enter your
debit/credit card details and your contact details.
If you are happy with the details you have entered, click on the "Agree
and Donate Now" button.
If you wish to give regular donations to a specific church, please
contact the church Treasurer and request a Standing Order Mandate.
Please complete the form and send to your bank. Alternatively, using the
church bank details on the Standing Order form you may be able to access
on-line banking and set up the standing order yourself.
Please remember that if you are a UK tax payer you can use Gift Aid to
increase your offering. For details of how Gift Aid can increase your
donation please go to
HMRC Giving to charity through Gift Aid. You can request a Gift Aid
form the church Treasurer. Please complete the form and return to the
Treasurer.
While your Church is closed we are unable to take Freewill Offering envelopes and suggest that, if you wish to use your envelopes, put your normal offering aside each week in the dated envelope and hand them in when your church re-opens.
